About the Company
The employer represents a digital primary healthcare platform providing professional diagnostics and health check-up services accessible from home or office. They also develop technology products for clinics and hospitals designed to enhance patient visitor experience.
Role Overview
The role involves working collaboratively throughout the project lifecycle with development leads, business analysts, QA teams, and business stakeholders to design and build scalable solutions within energy trading platforms, particularly Endur.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders from project initiation through to production support.
- Design and develop robust, scalable software solutions aligned with functional and technical requirements.
- Build and enhance functionalities on the Endur energy trading platform.
- Engage actively in requirements gathering, solution design, coding, testing, user acceptance testing, and production support phases.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues affecting critical production applications.
- Produce maintainable, high-quality, and efficient code primarily using Core Java and SQL.
- Contribute to Agile methodologies, including continuous integration and continuous deployment practices.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers while facilitating knowledge sharing within the team.
- Manage stakeholder expectations through effective communication.
- Innovate to solve complex challenges related to trading and operational processes.
Technical Requirements
- Proficient hands-on experience with Core Java development.
- Comprehensive understanding of design patterns, SOLID principles, JUnit testing, and test-driven development (TDD).
- Strong command of SQL for database interactions.
- Experience developing enterprise-level applications.
- Familiarity with Agile project delivery frameworks.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and version control tools like GitHub.
- Knowledge of Azure Cloud technologies is a desirable bonus.
Energy Trading Domain Expertise (Mandatory)
- In-depth knowledge of European gas markets, including gas networks, balancing, scheduling, and transportation.
- Understanding of capacity management, pricing, position management, profit & loss, and exposure management within energy trading.
Trading Instruments Knowledge
- Experience with OTC transactions including forwards, storage, swing deals, swaps, and simple options.
- Familiarity with exchange-traded futures and options lifecycle management.
- Understanding of cascading concepts specific to trading.
ETRM/CTRM Experience (Preferred)
- Working knowledge of ETRM/CTRM platforms.
- Strong preference for experience with Endur/Openlink platforms.
- Skills in Endur plugin development, Java scripting in OpenLink Endur (JVS), and Open Components (OC).
- Applicants with substantial energy trading application expertise but without Endur background are also welcome.
