About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technical Office Engineer specialized in dry utilities to join our team. The candidate will play a crucial role in infrastructure projects by handling technical office operations and coordinating dry utility systems effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Thoroughly review and coordinate design documents, calculations, shop drawings, and technical files pertaining to medium and low voltage power distribution, telecommunications, fiber optics, and street lighting networks.
- Manage technical submittals for infrastructure such as transformers, substations, and electrical panels related to dry utilities ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Detect and resolve utility clashes while proposing technical solutions for the diversion, relocation, and protection of utilities during the course of project implementation.
- Collaborate closely with civil, road, and wet utility teams for seamless integration of dry utility systems into the overall infrastructure layout.
- Ensure all designs related to electrical infrastructure meet project requirements, local authority standards, and international regulations.
- Support the technical office by reviewing engineering documents and providing technical guidance throughout project phases.
- Coordinate with utility authorities to obtain necessary approvals and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
- Utilize engineering software tools to assist with design assessments, coordination efforts, and clash detection processes.
Candidate Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering is essential.
- A minimum of eight years' experience working as an Electrical Technical Office Engineer within infrastructure projects focusing on dry utilities.
- Comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience with MV/LV electrical networks, street lighting, telecommunication systems, and fiber optics infrastructure.
- Sound understanding of utility authority requirements and regulatory approval procedures.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Navisworks is required.
- Familiarity with electrical design and calculation software such as ETAP or Dialux is an advantage.
- Strong coordination capabilities coupled with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
