About the Role
The Guidance Center, a longstanding provider of comprehensive services to children, adults, and families since 1958, is seeking an Electronic Health Records (EHR) Support Specialist to join our dedicated remote team. Serving over 14,200 clients annually through more than 25 different programs, our organization emphasizes personal growth, resilience, and overall well-being.
Position Overview
As an EHR Support Specialist, you will manage, update, and track all activities related to electronic documentation and communication from our Clinical units. The role is data-intensive and demands meticulous real-time data entry into multiple EHR platforms, including ensuring information is accurately processed, maintained, and accessible. You will play a pivotal role in operating our EHR-related Support Help Desk, serving as a point of contact and subject matter expert for practice management tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately input and maintain electronic health record data in various systems, ensuring timely updates.
- Operate the EHR Support Help Desk, providing technical and practical assistance to clinical staff concerning EHR usage and troubleshooting data entry concerns.
- Communicate proactively with clinical team members and supervisors to resolve questions and address inconsistencies in paperwork, database entries, or ongoing electronic workflows.
- Utilize, interpret, and relay both written and verbal instructions and problem-solve as needed to ensure high data integrity and effective issue resolution.
Requirements
- Completion of a high school diploma.
- Minimum of two years of experience in a professional business environment.
- At least two years of hands-on experience with Electronic Health Record systems; knowledge of PCE EHR systems is advantageous.
- Proficiency with a range of software, particularly Microsoft Office.
- Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
- Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail for accurate and prompt data tracking and preparation.
