Role Overview

The Ductman is a full-time, on-site position located in Sharjah, responsible for installing and assembling HVAC ductwork in line with project drawings, specifications, and instructions. Duties include measuring and marking duct locations, cutting and shaping ducts, fitting sections and accessories, and ensuring proper alignment and support. The role requires using hand and power tools, coordinating closely with supervisors and other trades, adhering to safety protocols, and maintaining quality workmanship. The Ductman also inspects completed installations, reports site issues, and supports maintenance and corrections as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Hands-on experience in HVAC duct installation, fabrication, and fitting, with familiarity of various duct types and accessories.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, layouts, and site directions, along with basic measurement and calculation skills.
• Proficient in safely handling hand and power tools and following onsite safety measures including use of PPE.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality, able to identify and rectify installation problems.
• Good communication and teamwork skills to liaise effectively with supervisors, engineers, and site staff.
• Background in construction or MEP contracting; prior work experience in the UAE or GCC region is advantageous.
• Physically capable to engage in manual labor tasks such as lifting, working at heights, and standing for long durations.
• Preferred vocational certifications or training in HVAC, ductwork, or mechanical trades.
