Role Summary
This full-time position requires a hybrid work arrangement in Singapore, combining on-site drone inspection missions with remote planning and reporting tasks. The Drone Pilot will be responsible for conducting aerial assessments of building façades, confined spaces, and infrastructure using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), capturing both visual and thermal imaging data to meet project specifications and safety guidelines.
Key Duties
- Plan and conduct daily pre-flight activities including flight route planning and risk assessment.
- Execute drone flight operations safely and in accordance with CAAS regulations and company policies.
- Monitor drone performance during missions to ensure optimal data capture quality.
- Process and organize visual and thermal data collected during inspections.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, inspectors, and other stakeholders to review findings and support decision-making.
- Maintain UAV equipment and conduct routine checks to ensure operational readiness.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in inspection workflows and operational practices.
- Participate in client meetings and occasionally provide training or demonstrations on inspection technologies and methodologies.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience and strong skills in operating drones across diverse environments.
- Comprehensive knowledge of UAV systems, flight planning, navigation, and safety procedures.
- Experience or aptitude for delivering internal and client training on drone operational safety and inspection procedures.
- Relevant Singaporean drone operator certifications compliant with CAAS standards are highly desirable.
- Background in building, infrastructure, or industrial inspection is advantageous, with sound understanding of related safety requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and situational awareness to safely operate near live work sites.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to produce clear documentation and work alongside technical and non-technical teams.
- Proficiency in basic data management, image review, and use of inspection or mapping software tools.
