Drafting Clerk

Overview

This position involves preparing detailed engineering drawings, sketches, and documentation for technical projects, primarily within electrical drafting and technical illustration.

Languages

English proficiency is required.

Education

Candidates must have completed their secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Experience

Applicants should possess between one and two years of relevant drafting experience.

Work Location

All work responsibilities are to be performed at the company's physical location in North York, Ontario, Canada. Remote work is not permitted.

Key Responsibilities

• Create engineering designs and detailed drawings.
• Develop and prepare design sketches.
• Compose technical specifications.
• Estimate material requirements and associated costs.
• Complete documentation sets and drawing packages.
• Verify drawings for accuracy and compliance.

Expertise and Technical Focus

• Preparation of shop drawings, detailing, and presentation drawings.
• Specialization in technical illustration and electrical drafting.

Technical Skills and Software Knowledge

• Proficient in database software.
• Experienced with computer-aided design (CAD) tools including AutoCAD and Autodesk REVIT.
• Familiarity with image editing software such as Adobe Photoshop.
• Knowledge of device drivers, programming languages, and website creation/management software.
• Comfortable working with Microsoft Windows operating system.
