About the Role
Join WSP Australia's Mining team in Newcastle as a Document Controller responsible for managing and overseeing project documentation across a variety of small to medium mining projects. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate document lifecycle management, supporting engineering and project groups to achieve compliant and efficient project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain thorough document registers with strict version control and traceability.
- Coordinate the flow of documents including reviews, approvals, and transmittals to meet project timelines.
- Ensure adherence to WSP and client-specific document control protocols and standards.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and external partners to facilitate smooth document exchanges.
- Conduct quality assurance checks before documentation issuance.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on document status and assist in project closure processes.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience as a Document Controller or in a related capacity within engineering, mining, or construction sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of document control lifecycle and process management.
- Familiarity with document management platforms such as Aconex, TeamBinder, SharePoint or equivalents.
- Meticulous attention to detail combined with excellent organizational capabilities.
- Skillful in managing multiple competing tasks within dynamic project settings.
- Effective communication and collaborative skills to work with cross-functional project stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with strong Excel skills.
