Overview
The District Manager at Trinchero Family Estates is responsible for expanding the company’s retail portfolio in Oregon through effective collaboration with distributor teams. This role involves building influential relationships with wholesalers, driving education and training initiatives, and fostering strong partnerships with key accounts to support distributor efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain an active and visible market presence by independently and collaboratively working with key and target accounts alongside distributors to influence purchasing decisions and meet annual sales goals.
- Develop and present compelling, data-driven sales narratives to motivate distributors and accounts, boosting market share and portfolio preference.
- Drive distributor engagement at least 50% of the time by educating teams on brand value, family heritage, and sales strategies, and delivering messages during meetings, trainings, events, and reviews.
- Manage key and target accounts (minimum 30% focus) by executing marketing programs, nurturing long-term relationships with owners and buyers, and utilizing data insights to identify promotional opportunities.
- Allocate at least 20% of time to strategic planning using various sales tools and software (e.g., MS Office, KARMA, OneSource, Datassentials, Nielsen, Power BI), organizing schedules and optimizing sales efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing, or related field.
- At least 3 years of experience preferably in consumer packaged goods, adult beverages, or related industries, with strong new business development and direct sales skills.
- Proven success in meeting sales targets and expanding distribution of premium brands through third-party distributor networks.
- Excellent relationship-building, interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong business understanding of industry trends, competition, and market dynamics.
- Organized with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and lead teams effectively.
- Knowledge of liquor laws considered a plus.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
- Interest in wine and spirits is favorable.
Working Conditions
- Frequent travel via car and air.
- Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
- Work schedule may include evenings, weekends, and occasional long or irregular hours during peak periods or events.
- Physical activity including moving supplies and setting up events.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary ranges from $95,000 to $130,000 annually, with starting pay influenced by experience, education, and location. Comprehensive benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, paid time off, wellness and family-building programs, and a 401(k) plan with potential profit-sharing contributions.
