Key Responsibilities

• Lead major gift fundraising activities by managing a portfolio of roughly 100-150 major gift prospects and donors, guiding relationships from initial qualification through stewardship.
• Identify, cultivate, solicit, and sustain engagement with individuals capable of making sizeable annual philanthropic contributions.
• Create tailored donor engagement plans involving meetings, events, executive interactions, site visits, and exclusive experiences.
• Maintain and build an annual fundraising pipeline aligning with revenue targets and organizational priorities.
• Conduct donor discovery meetings to uncover new opportunities and broaden the global community of supporters.
• Collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to synchronize donor strategies and cultivation efforts.
• Represent the organization at conferences, donor events, and community gatherings to raise visibility and discover new relationships.
• Keep precise records of donors, forecasts, activities, and reporting within CRM systems.
• Support community engagement programs and donor-related events, while staying abreast of philanthropic trends and best practices.

Candidate Requirements

• 7 to 10 years of advancing fundraising experience with documented success in securing major gifts from high-net-worth individuals.
• Proven ability managing major gift portfolios and attaining ambitious fundraising objectives.
• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred. Equivalent relevant experience may be accepted.
• Background in nonprofit philanthropy environments is essential.
• Demonstrated skill in building trustful relationships with executives, entrepreneurs, philanthropists, and community influencers.
• Strong comprehension of fundraising strategy, pipeline management, forecasting, and donor engagement techniques.
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication capabilities.
• Proficiency in CRM platforms is required; experience with Salesforce is favored.
• Willingness to travel about 25% of the time.
• Experience with organizations focused on science, technology, innovation, healthcare, education, environment, or similar mission-driven sectors is advantageous.
• Familiarity with family offices, donor-advised funds, wealth advisors, and philanthropic consultants is a plus.
