Overview

The Detection and Investigation Associate role is part of PNC's Anti-Money Laundering (AML) team and is primarily remote, with occasional in-office requirements based on business needs. Approved remote work must be performed from a secure, quiet home workspace within specified locations. PNC does not sponsor employment visas or participate in STEM OPT for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough investigations and mitigation efforts for suspicious banking activities and fraud-related risks.
- Develop and implement internal controls to detect and prevent illegal or suspicious actions, aiming to recover any losses experienced which may be substantial.
- Collaborate independently with internal teams and external stakeholders including local, state, and federal authorities, as well as other financial institutions, on issues involving fraudulent or illegal activity where applicable.
- Assess identified activities to determine if they require reporting or escalation based on established criteria and professional judgment, while completing all required documentation.
- Maintain comprehensive records of investigations performed.

- Typically requires a bachelor's degree with a minimum of two years of relevant professional experience; equivalent combinations of education, certifications, and experience (including military service) may be considered.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary ranges from $52,500 to $105,000 annually, varying with location, skills, experience, and education. The role may include incentive pay based on company and individual performance.
