Job description
Job Overview
We are seeking a Desktop Support Engineer responsible for installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktop and laptop hardware as well as software support. The role requires hands-on involvement in managing Windows OS, network troubleshooting, and user account administration alongside support for various office applications and devices.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, configure, and resolve issues related to desktops and laptops hardware.
- Maintain and support Windows operating systems, including patch management and updates via WSUS.
- Configure and troubleshoot email clients such as Outlook, Exchange, and Office 365.
- Manage and troubleshoot antivirus and endpoint security software.
- Handle basic networking tasks, including LAN/WAN troubleshooting, router and switch configuration, IP addressing, DNS, and DHCP management.
- Carry out user account management in Active Directory, including password resets, creation of users, managing group policies, and controlling access rights.
- Support Microsoft Office-related applications like Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and the full MS Office suite.
- Troubleshoot and configure printers, scanners, including network-enabled devices.
- Provide support for video conferencing applications such as Teams, Zoom, and WebEx.
- Perform backup and restoration of user data to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Manage mobile devices and relevant software applications used within the organization.
- Liaise with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely issue resolution and smooth IT operations.
Additional Requirements
The candidate must have a personal bike for transportation.
