About the Role
An established international luxury goods company is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Planning leader to join its Global Logistics & Supply Chain Centre in Dublin, Ireland. This role provides a chance to be part of a prominent global business with an extensive retail and distribution network worldwide. Responsibilities
- Lead the comprehensive demand forecasting process by utilizing statistical models, advanced analytics, and AI-powered forecasting tools.
- Oversee the Demand Review component within the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) framework.
- Ensure alignment of demand plans with business objectives, financial budgets, and long-range planning goals.
- Develop inventory strategies, establish target stock levels, and implement regional safety stock policies.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to enhance inventory efficiency while preserving product availability.
- Create planning methodologies, define KPIs, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of demand and inventory planning specialists.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Supply Planning, Merchandising, and Distribution departments.
- Effectively communicate planning assumptions, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership.
- Champion process improvements and challenge prevailing approaches to working methods.
Candidate Profile
- Holds a degree in Engineering, Economics, Supply Chain, or related fields.
- Strong experience in Supply Chain Planning with emphasis on Demand and Inventory Planning.
- Proven leadership record with previous people management experience.
- Good mastery of forecasting techniques and inventory management strategies.
- Background working within an S&OP environment.
- Commercially aware with understanding of financial aspects including working capital management.
- Strong analytical aptitude combined with project management skills.
- Familiarity with scenario planning, forecasting software, and data analysis tools.
- Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of Italian is an asset.
