Data Strategy Analyst

About the Role

This role, offered on behalf of a partner company, is focused on supporting large-scale data transformation efforts that strengthen governance, improve data quality, and enhance strategic decision-making at an enterprise level. As a Data Strategy Analyst based in Germany, you will work remotely, collaborating with diverse cross-functional teams internationally to drive sustainable data management improvements. Your work will be pivotal in building and maintaining governance frameworks, managing data initiatives, and developing ongoing reporting and analytics capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the execution of a comprehensive Data Transformation Programme by supporting strategy, governance, and quality efforts.
• Manage and coordinate the enterprise data backlog, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and programme objectives.
• Assist in establishing robust data governance structures including domain ownership and role clarity.
• Support customer data strategy initiatives through detailed analyses, recommendations, and governance documentation preparation.
• Coordinate activities to enhance data quality and assist implementation of a Data Quality Framework designed for sustainability.
• Help define and validate reporting, analytics, and operational model processes to facilitate continuous improvement and effective decision making.
• Create and present reports, presentations, and documentation to support governance forums and strategic program discussions.
• Work closely with both business and technology stakeholders to ensure data initiatives reflect organizational priorities.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of professional experience in data strategy, governance, enterprise data management, or related domains.
• Deep understanding of enterprise data governance principles, frameworks, and domain ownership approaches.
• Proven experience in backing data quality enhancement initiatives and governance process implementation.
• Strong skills in managing project backlogs, prioritizing tasks, and coordinating strategic data initiatives.
• Experience collaborating with business and technical teams in multi-disciplinary settings.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills paired with strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Fluency in English at an advanced level.
• Previous involvement in enterprise Data Transformation Programmes is advantageous.
• Knowledge of customer data strategy, reporting and analytics operating models, or RACI frameworks is beneficial.
• Highly organized, proactive, detail-focused, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities effectively.
