- Build APIs that connect with the relevant systems.
- Convert technical and business requirements into interface specifications, system flows, and delivery plans.
- Partner with upstream and downstream teams to agree on data contracts and integration boundaries.
- Support ingestion and preparation of data for GenAI use cases.
- Help manage integrations across the DataLake ecosystem, including tools such as Informatica and Cloudera.
- Implement data movement using APIs, SFTP, file-based transfers, and batch pipelines.
Requirements

- Strong ability to convert requirements into system designs, data flows, interface documents, and implementation plans.
- Hands-on experience working with upstream and downstream stakeholders on enterprise integrations.
- Practical knowledge of REST APIs, SFTP, batch jobs, file-based integration, and pipeline orchestration.
- Good understanding of data mapping, transformation, aggregation, reconciliation, and data quality checks.
- Strong SQL skills and basic to moderate Python skills for scripting, automation, data handling, and troubleshooting.
- Exposure to Java.
- Experience with Informatica, Cloudera, or similar enterprise data platforms.
- Working knowledge of Git, branching, pull requests, code reviews, and controlled release practices.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, Jira, Confluence, and enterprise deployment processes.
- Experience with Control-M or similar scheduling tools.
- Awareness of logging and monitoring tools such as OTEL, Splunk, and Elastic Stack.
- Exposure to GenAI concepts including document ingestion, RAG, embeddings, and data preparation for AI workflows.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to question weak designs while coordinating with business, application, data, infrastructure, and security teams.
Additional skills mentioned
Data engineering, system integrations, Python, SQL, and Informatica are highlighted as relevant capabilities for the role.
