Data Engineer, Product Analytics (University Graduate)

About the Role

As a Data Engineer focusing on Product Analytics at Meta, you'll collaborate with multidimensional teams to create scalable data architectures underpinning product growth and user engagement. You'll play an integral part in designing, developing, and maintaining vast data repositories that empower decisions impacting billions globally across Meta’s platforms (including Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, Reality Labs, and Threads).

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the execution and ongoing management of data warehouse solutions for defined product domains, ensuring the smooth delivery of answers to well-defined business questions.
• Determine required data for addressing business objectives, establish necessary data logging, and proactively resolve availability or infrastructure issues.
• Work alongside data scientists, product managers, and engineers to translate data requirements into actionable insights and intuitive data representation.
• Champion data integrity, privacy, and compliance standards across your scope, using robust controls and methodologies.
• Architect and deploy new data models, visualization tools, and pipelines in production environments via common development toolkits.
• Independently develop new ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and optimize existing workflows, sharing expertise regarding efficient querying.
• Monitor and support production data processes, leveraging ingenuity to deliver enhanced solutions with minimal supervision.
• Develop, document, and uphold Service Level Agreements pertaining to assigned data assets.

Required Qualifications

• Obtained or nearing completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely allied discipline, or demonstrable equivalent practical expertise. Degree needs to be finalized before beginning employment.
• Proficient in SQL for data analysis and manipulation.
• Programming experience in Python.
• Familiarity with database management systems and architectures.
• Legal authorization to work in the employment country both at hire and throughout employment tenure.

• Engagement with responsible AI practices, including risk analysis, bias reduction, and rigorous quality reviews.
• Commitment to AI upskilling—such as context engineering and orchestrating AI agents—and maintaining awareness of the latest advances.

Additional Information

• Compensation: Base salary ranges from $99,008 to $139,000. Eligible for bonus and equity in addition to benefits. Compensation may vary depending on qualifications, skills, experience, and work location.
