Role Overview
We are looking for a Data Analyst skilled in analytical techniques and emerging data engineering to enhance our reporting, analytics, and data workflow capabilities organization-wide. This role involves collaborating with business and technical teams to conduct data analysis, create automated reporting systems, maintain cloud-based data pipelines, and ensure dependable data infrastructures.
Key Responsibilities
- Craft clear, accurate, and maintainable SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Design, implement, and sustain automation of reporting, analytic workflows, and scalable solutions utilizing SQL, Python, and cloud data platforms.
- Address analytical challenges beyond mere reporting, investigating data for insights.
- Proactively detect and initiate improvements in current reporting and analytic processes.
- Formulate hypotheses, validate them analytically, and deliver actionable insights to business stakeholders.
- Partner with senior analysts to assess model effectiveness, identify root issues, and suggest enhancements.
- Execute quality assurance checks to guarantee data integrity, consistency, and reliability across reports and pipelines.
- Own analytical initiatives from the initial data exploration stage through to deployment.
- Work collaboratively with engineering, product development, and business teams to produce scalable analytical solutions.
- Provide ad hoc analysis and support strategic projects as business needs shift.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Up to 2 years of experience in data analytics, including internships or academic projects.
- Proficient in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
- Experience using Python for data analysis, automation with libraries like pandas, and modeling using scikit-learn.
- Working knowledge of fundamental machine learning concepts such as regression, tree-based models, and model evaluation.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT methodologies, and cloud data services like Google Cloud, Azure, or AWS.
- Experience with business intelligence tools including Domo, Tableau, and Power BI.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively articulate technical results to non-technical stakeholders.
