Role Overview
IXIS is looking for a motivated and inquisitive Data Analyst to join their team. The primary function involves analyzing analytics and marketing datasets to address client queries, collaborating closely with the Data Science team to perform quantitative assessments, and effectively communicating key insights and strategic advice to clients. The ideal candidate is passionate about data storytelling within a dynamic, collaborative, and results-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform exploratory data analyses that integrate multiple data sources, craft intuitive data visualizations, and extract meaningful insights for both one-off and periodic reporting.
- Enhance existing reporting templates by improving narrative flow, appearance, and visualization quality while prioritizing reproducible workflows such as version control via Git.
- Collect and synthesize qualitative and quantitative research findings to underpin retail and digital strategy recommendations.
- Work collaboratively with developers, data scientists, engineers, strategists, and other stakeholders—both technical and non-technical—to refine data products and deliverables iteratively.
- Create and maintain repositories that facilitate reproducible programmatic data analysis using tools like R and the tidyverse, progressing towards autonomy in coding-based analysis.
- Maintain transparent and consistent communication channels with supervisors, colleagues, and clients.
Desired Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field preferred.
- At least 2 years of related full-time professional experience preferred but not mandatory.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving coupled with strong data intuition.
- Proficiency or keen interest in programmatic data analysis using R, Python, and/or SQL.
- Solid grounding in classical statistics, including experimental design and hypothesis testing.
- High intellectual curiosity with a proactive attitude towards improving current methodologies and products.
- Excellent written communication skills, both technical and client-focused.
- Additional assets include experience with digital analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics), e-commerce, API and database data extraction, digital marketing, and agile/scrum project management methodologies.
