Role Overview
We have an exciting 12-month fixed-term contract opportunity based at our Christchurch branch for a Customer Support Representative. This important role supports our Aftermarket business by handling parts enquiries, quotations, order processing, and coordinating logistics. Working closely with Service and Warehouse teams, you will ensure minimal equipment downtime by fulfilling parts needs promptly. The role also includes proactively following up on quotations, identifying sales leads, and providing superb customer service from initial enquiry through delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and respond to customer parts enquiries for Komatsu product lines accurately.
- Prepare detailed quotations and consistently follow up on opportunities to boost parts sales.
- Manage customer orders, branch stock transfers, and freight arrangements effectively.
- Support workshop operations by ensuring parts availability for scheduled repairs.
- Maintain precise inventory records and customer data using Komatsu’s information systems.
- Develop and sustain strong, respectful customer relationships by delivering professional and responsive service.
- Adhere to safety protocols contributing to a secure and collaborative workplace environment.
Candidate Profile
Ideal candidates will bring practical experience within parts, customer service, warehouse, or aftermarket sectors, preferably involving heavy equipment, trucks, agricultural, automotive, or industrial machinery parts. Strong communication and customer service skills, excellent attention to detail, and experience with computerized inventory or ERP systems are essential. The ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a busy environment, a positive mindset, and a commitment to safety are also expected.
Additional Qualifications
- Current valid driver’s license is required.
- Forklift license will be considered an advantage.
