Role Overview

As a Customer Project Manager, you will enable decentralized Country CPMs with technical support, oversee engineered-to-order special machinery projects, and spearhead ongoing process enhancements throughout the EMEA region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise internal monitoring of inquiries and projects related to the Engineered-to-Order (ETO) segment.
  • Conduct structured post-project evaluations covering technical, commercial, and procedural aspects.
  • Assist country teams in managing complex project challenges.
  • Coach and mentor country-based Customer Project Managers.
  • Manage prototype project initiatives.
  • Review and proofread technical documents, including engineering drawings.
  • Liaise with headquarters to alleviate the workload of country CPMs.
  • Act as a secondary CPM for special project assignments.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Process Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline.
  • 3 to 5+ years’ practical experience in managing technical projects within special machinery, plant construction, or CAPEX equipment sectors.
  • Strong grasp of business principles, project profitability, and ERP system usage.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build robust relationships with a customer-centric approach.
  • Proficiency in English for international collaboration; German language skills are beneficial.
  • Willingness to travel across the EMEA region approximately 20–30% of the time.
