Customer Delivery Driver - Craigavon Extra

Position Overview

We are seeking dedicated Customer Delivery Drivers in Craigavon, Northern Ireland, to join our team delivering groceries to customers. This role requires strong customer service skills, reliability, and attention to detail to ensure a smooth delivery experience.

Availability

Deliveries are scheduled within the hours of 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Sundays and Mondays. Shift times will be assigned with a minimum of three weeks' notice. Flexibility is appreciated, and candidates whose availability closely matches these times are encouraged to apply.

Compensation and Hours

The hourly wage starts from £14.18, with possible additional payments depending on location. New hires are guaranteed at least 16 hours weekly, though part-time options are available with minimum 12 hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery van and trays.
• Keep the yard and surrounding area clean and free from litter.
• Ensure trays are washed according to process requirements.
• Load and check the van for roadworthiness before starting deliveries.
• Communicate with customers regarding any changes or substitutions in their delivery order, including refunds if necessary.
• Handle customer products with care and professionalism.
• Inform customers that substitutions do not result in additional charges.
• Deliver orders within customers’ assigned time slots and notify customers if arriving early.
• Report to the store or centre if running more than 30 minutes late.

Candidate Requirements

• Valid UK, EU, or EEA full or automatic driving license held for at least 12 months, with no more than three penalty points.
• Ability to build positive relationships with colleagues to foster team spirit.
• Friendly and welcoming demeanor when interacting with customers and colleagues, taking time to show appreciation.
• Adaptable and responsive to customers’ shifting needs and workplace changes.
