Curriculum Specialist - 2 Hour Learning Model (Remote, Nairobi)

Role Overview

This position focuses on advancing the 2-Hour Learning model, a revolutionary educational approach that enables students to complete a full day of academics within two highly efficient hours. This leaves ample time for creative and extracurricular activities in the afternoons. As Curriculum Specialist, you will enhance and evolve this AI-driven personalized learning system from any location with stable internet connectivity.

Key Duties

• Transform extensive AI-generated educational performance data into timely and targeted interventions to guide learners toward achieving mastery levels of 90% and beyond.
• Conduct live coaching sessions to tackle learning obstacles instantly, clarify knowledge gaps, and sustain motivation to maintain student progress.
• Analyze comprehensive performance data to identify trends and opportunities for innovation, supporting the development of AI tools aimed at doubling learning efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with leadership to improve educational tools, dashboards, and mastery benchmarks as the AI tutoring system evolves.

What This Role Does Not Involve

• Participation in lengthy meetings or creation of non-impactful presentations disconnected from measurable educational outcomes.
• Traditional tasks such as grading, lesson planning, or implementing conventional teaching programs, as AI and innovative methods form the core of the approach.
• Purely strategic roles without hands-on involvement or repetitive task execution; this job requires active engagement and adaptability.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in data science or related fields such as education, EdTech, or student support combining strong analytical and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in Google Sheets operations including lookups, pivot tables, and data filtering.
• High emotional intelligence with excellent communication skills, especially in coaching children.
• Practical experience in creating workflows and automations using artificial intelligence technologies.
• Minimum one year of direct work with students in Kindergarten through 8th grade.
• Availability for core working hours between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM Central Time, Monday to Friday.

Preferred Qualifications

• Solid understanding of learning science, educational theories, or a history of boosting educational outcomes through data-driven strategies.
• Experience with Generative AI and prompting techniques, as well as basic coding skills in languages like Python or JavaScript for AI API integrations.

Working Conditions and Compensation

This is a full-time, long-term role requiring 40 hours of work per week. It operates under an independent contractor agreement with Crossover. Compensation is at $30 USD per hour, totaling approximately $60,000 annually based on a 50-week working year. Payments are disbursed weekly. The position is open immediately.
