Creative Director - Production (Films, TVCs & Documentaries)

Role Overview

Join a dynamic in-house team based in West Bay, Qatar, responsible for producing government films, TV commercials, documentaries, and brand videos renowned throughout Qatar. This role is not about managing remotely but about hands-on directing across all stages of production.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the creative vision and execution for diverse productions, including commercials, documentaries, brand films, and campaigns.
• Lead the entire process from concept development through scriptwriting, storyboarding, shooting, and post-production supervision.
• Direct on-set activities by guiding crew on blocking, actor performances, and multiple crucial creative decisions to elevate quality.
• Mentor and develop internal production team members such as videographers, editors, and motion designers to enhance their output standards.
• Effectively communicate, present, and defend creative concepts and work to clients, including senior government and corporate officials, in both Arabic and English.
• Collaborate closely with strategy and design leaders to ensure each film aligns with business goals rather than just aesthetic appeal.

Candidate Requirements

• A minimum of seven years in agency or production house environments, including extensive team leadership experience; this senior position demands proven leadership.
• Must be fluent in Arabic to direct Arabic-language scripts, talent, and interact with Arabic-speaking clients.
• A comprehensive portfolio demonstrating creative direction or direction of commercials, TVCs, or documentaries is mandatory.
• Strong ability to both generate creative ideas and see their execution through to the final screen.
• Availability to start immediately in Doha, Qatar.
