Role Overview

The Country Manager position is based in Uganda, combining remote work from home with frequent travel commitments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead sales activities in Uganda by identifying and securing new customers while fostering long-standing relationships with existing overseas clients, including distributors, channels, large projects, developers, EPC contractors, and wholesalers.
  • Conduct regular visits to clients and collaborate closely to shape business and product strategies geared toward growth.
  • Coordinate technical support for customer and project success using deep product and system knowledge tailored to client requirements.
  • Monitor solar PV market trends, competitor behaviors, and client feedback to inform and execute proactive strategies that stimulate product improvements and market growth.
  • Represent GoodWe at industry conferences, trade shows, and other events to boost brand awareness and cultivate partnerships.
  • Drive ongoing improvements within the sales team to increase operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage channel partner policies, resolve conflicts, and ensure adherence to company guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering or a comparable technical discipline.
  • At least 3 years of demonstrable experience in solar product sales within the PV industry.
  • Strong background in business development, negotiation expertise, excellent client relationship skills, and the ability to adapt in dynamic, demanding markets.
  • Professional command of English.
  • Proven success in international sales environments with a global and multicultural perspective.
  • Willingness to travel frequently both within Uganda and internationally.
  • Collaborative team member with a proactive, goal-oriented approach.
