Copywriter

Position Overview

A financial institution client is seeking a Copywriter for a contract role lasting over six months. The position requires full-time commitment each week, working four days onsite in downtown Toronto (Queen East). The hourly pay ranges between $40 and $50 on a T4 basis.

Core Responsibilities

• Create compelling copy for advertisements, emails, landing pages, brochures, social media content, and branch materials.
• Maintain a unified brand voice that fosters trust and effectively communicates the bank's value proposition.
• Collaborate closely with legal and compliance teams to guarantee content accuracy and adherence to regulations.
• Work alongside design, product, and digital teams to execute cohesive marketing campaigns.
• Optimize content for search engine performance, readability, and conversion rates.
• Incorporate research and data insights to enhance messaging effectiveness.

Required Skills and Experience

• Ability to clearly explain complex topics related to banking, credit, lending, and digital banking.
• Strong aptitude for concise, persuasive, and customer-focused writing.
• Knowledge of disclosure and compliance protocols in financial services.
• Familiarity with SEO principles, user experience writing, email marketing strategies, and social media content creation.
• Capability to handle multiple deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
• Portfolio showcasing both short-form and long-form marketing materials.
