About the Role

TNQTech invites applications for a copy editor position to enhance our dynamic team engaged in transforming scholarly publishing through integrated content and technology solutions. This role requires working autonomously and collaboratively with fellow editors to ensure manuscripts adhere meticulously to journal and publisher style guidelines.

The selected candidate will uphold stringent quality standards, while also supervising trainee editors by providing constructive critiques.

Responsibilities

• Perform copy editing on articles, ensuring compliance with journal or publisher standards and delivering thorough, error-free documents.
• Review and correct punctuation, spelling errors, and subject-verb agreement issues.
• Coordinate with other internal departments as needed to verify the precision of edits.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to trainee editors enhancing their skills.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Holder of a graduate degree with 2 to 6 years' professional experience editing books or journals for reputed STM publishers.
• Possesses exceptional attention to detail along with strong verbal and written command of English.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Demonstrates enthusiasm for continual learning and a passion for reading and editing.
• Capable of training junior editors on topics related to TNQTech’s scope of work.
• Flexible to work in rotational shifts as required.
• Additional advantage: experience in editing chemistry-related manuscripts.
