About the Role
KPMG Canada is seeking a Contract Specialist to support the Contingent Labour Office (CLO), managing engagements with external resources across the country. This role serves as a vital link between business needs and contingent workforce compliance, ensuring efficient onboarding, management, and offboarding of contract labour in a customer-focused manner. The position contributes to the continuous enhancement of internal workflows, technology deployment, and documentation standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor, offering expert guidance to Hiring Managers on external resource engagement strategies.
- Leverage technological tools to improve CLO processes, user experience, and resource allocation.
- Manage case intake and contract labour engagements through KPMG’s vendor management system, including due diligence and compliance.
- Conduct training sessions for stakeholders on workflow and system usage.
- Maintain accurate records supporting audit readiness and reporting needs.
- Facilitate communication with various internal stakeholders and respond timely to inquiries.
- Lead or support process improvement initiatives and change management activities.
- Develop and update SOPs, templates, and knowledge articles to ensure clarity and accessibility of CLO policies.
- Educate the CLO team and relevant departments on new procedures and compliance matters related to contingent workforce.
Candidate Profile
- 3 to 5 years of experience managing case or contract processes, preferably with exposure to staffing agencies or contingent workforce management.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is preferable, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to engage with diverse stakeholders, including senior leaders, contractors, and cross-functional experts.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- A proactive approach to continuous process improvement and an aptitude for impact analysis.
- Comfortable working with various technology platforms; experience with vendor management systems (such as Flextrack or Beeline) and ServiceNow is a plus.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
- Post-secondary education in a related discipline is required.
Additional Information
The role is primarily onsite in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, but virtual work across Canada is considered, with occasional in-office presence (1-2 days per month) for company meetings. The position requires fluency in English for effective collaboration. Salary ranges from 55000 to 82000 CAD annually, with potential bonus eligibility and access to a comprehensive Total Rewards program.
