About the Role
This opportunity is to serve as a Contract Business Analyst based in Ireland, spearheading support for a significant digital transformation within the energy sector. The role demands converting intricate business demands into concise technical specifications to aid teams in crafting scalable and efficient solutions. Collaboration with product managers, engineering teams, commercial units, and domain specialists forms a core part of this position, which operates within a fully remote working model.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze detailed business workflows and convert energy market requirements into clear technical documents and delivery plans.
- Partner closely with Product Managers, Engineers, vendors, and experts to define requirements and facilitate successful project execution.
- Develop comprehensive documentation encompassing user acceptance criteria, data mappings, system integrations, and procedural flows.
- Contribute actively to large-scale transformation efforts by assisting in the modernization of legacy processes and migration to new platforms.
- Ensure alignment and effective communication among business and technical stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist with data migration tasks and system readiness for deployment.
- Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities for enhancement, supporting mitigation tactics.
- Foster collaboration across business, engineering, design, and commercial teams ensuring solutions meet operational and user expectations.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven track record as a Business Analyst in complex technological, transformational, or digital delivery projects.
- Expertise in mapping and documenting business processes, technical needs, data flows, and system interconnections.
- Skilled in drafting clear specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Experience with large-scale systems transformation or data migration efforts within stringent timelines.
- Knowledge of the UK energy market is highly advantageous.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with a knack for presenting technical info in business-friendly terms.
- Capability to influence varied stakeholders through structured analysis and sound recommendations.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, analytical approach with strong problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working independently in remote settings while engaging productively with teams.
- Efficient in managing priorities, spotting risks, and balancing innovation alongside practical delivery.
