Continuous Improvement Specialist

About the Role

This opportunity is with a prestigious pharmaceutical company located in Dublin, offering a dynamic role as a Continuous Improvement (CI) Specialist. The position operates on a hybrid basis, requiring three days onsite. The CI Specialist acts as a key business partner for designated functional areas, helping establish and sustain improvement processes aligned with the site's management system. The role demands expertise in facilitation, coaching, data analysis, stakeholder engagement, and change management. Collaboration with Industrial Engineering is integral to identify, quantify, and support improvement initiatives, while focusing on embedding continuous improvement systems and routines.

Key Responsibilities

• Guide assigned teams in daily operational management, standardized processes, structured problem resolution, and ongoing improvement practices.
• Lead problem-solving workshops and improvement sessions independently with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Mentor Yellow Belt and Green Belt candidates as well as project sponsors and process owners in utilizing improvement methodologies, project oversight, and sustaining results.
• Encourage continuous productivity enhancement by identifying and initiating improvement opportunities aligned with strategic objectives.
• Manage and monitor process confirmation activities and related schedules within the assigned scope.
• Drive improvement projects from initial problem identification through implementation, benefit evaluation, and establishment of control measures.
• Apply data-driven insights to expedite problem-solving, evaluate key performance indicators, identify causal factors, and quantify potential benefits.
• Coordinate with Industrial Engineering to assess capacity models and integrate capacity insights in opportunity analysis.
• Collaborate with CI and Business Performance teams to ensure critical operational KPIs are accurately showcased in digital dashboards and performance tools.
• Utilize suitable digital, automation, and AI technologies to facilitate rapid process assessments and enhancements.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by leadership within Continuous Improvement and Industrial Engineering.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Business, Operations Management, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, or a related field is required.
• At least 3 to 5 years of experience in continuous improvement, operational excellence, manufacturing efficiency, business process improvement, or project implementation roles.
• Demonstrable Lean and/or Six Sigma training coupled with hands-on improvement project involvement.
• Familiarity with DMAIC and A3 problem-solving methodologies.
• Experience mentoring project sponsors, belt-level trainees, process owners, or frontline teams in improvement initiatives.
• Involvement in establishing or supporting daily management routines, idea management systems, process validation, standard work procedures, CI governance frameworks, or managing improvement project portfolios.

Additional Information
