Construction Project Manager - Industrial Facility Expansion

Overview

Paradise Food Industries (PFI), a prominent company specializing in food logistics and industrial operations, is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee the expansion of their warehouse facility in Doha, Qatar. The project manager will supervise the development of a new administration building seamlessly integrated with the existing warehouse, ensuring safety, quality, and budget compliance while maintaining uninterrupted warehouse functions throughout the construction phase.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and coordinate architectural, structural, and MEP designs to confirm harmonious integration with current facilities.
• Develop and implement a phased construction plan that minimizes operational disruptions to the warehouse.
• Direct all phases of the project lifecycle, from design initiation to final handover.
• Manage relationships and coordination among owners, consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
• Review drawings, specifications, bills of quantities (BOQs), shop drawings, material submissions, and construction methodologies.
• Oversee project scheduling, budgeting, quality control, and progress tracking.
• Administer contractor payment reviews, including variation orders, and conduct regular site inspections.
• Ensure adherence to all safety, quality, and contractual obligations throughout project execution.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management.
• At least 7 years of professional experience managing industrial construction projects, specifically warehouses, factories, or similar facilities.
• In-depth knowledge of architectural, structural, and MEP coordination.
• Experience in contract review, BOQs, shop drawings, and variation order assessments.
• Familiarity with BIM/Revit software is considered advantageous.
• Ability to commit to regular on-site presence at both office and project locations, approximately 3 to 4 days per week.

Terms and Conditions

• The role begins as part-time with flexible hours and is expected to potentially transition into a full-time leadership position with company growth and future projects.

• The project is expected to last between 3 to 4 months.
