Construction Operations Manager

About the Role

Recon Builders Private Limited is seeking an experienced Construction Operations Manager based in Jharkhand to oversee multiple construction projects. The role involves planning, executing, and monitoring projects to ensure timely completion within budget while maintaining safety and quality standards. The manager will coordinate with site teams, procurement, consultants, clients, and senior management through frequent site visits and detailed reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage multiple construction sites concurrently, ensuring projects adhere to timelines and budgets.
• Review and monitor project schedules on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to track progress.
• Identify risks within projects and implement effective corrective actions promptly.
• Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, project engineers, and contractors to resolve technical issues and ensure quality and safety standards.
• Work closely with procurement teams to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment, control material usage, and minimize wastage.
• Prepare comprehensive weekly and monthly progress reports; conduct review meetings and communicate project status, risks, and resource needs to directors.
• Review bills of quantities (BOQs), work orders, subcontractor invoices, and running account bills while ensuring project costs remain within approved budgets.
• Ensure strict compliance with quality standards, drawings, and safety regulations across all sites.
• Liaise regularly with clients, architects, structural and MEP consultants to facilitate project requirements and decisions.
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate site engineers, supervisors, and project coordinators to build a disciplined, accountable, and efficient team.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering preferred; diploma holders with exceptional experience considered.
• Minimum 10 to 15 years’ experience in building construction, including institutional, commercial, real estate, or industrial projects.
• Expertise in RCC work, finishing, billing, contracts, project scheduling, and use of tools like MS Excel, MS Project, and AutoCAD.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
• Successful experience handling projects valued at ₹20 crore or more, delivering on time and within budget is advantageous.

Additional Details

Salary is negotiable based on qualifications, experience, and proven performance. The role reports directly to the Director or Managing Director. Candidates should be available to join immediately or within 30 days.
