Role Overview

The Compliance Manager position involves full-time, on-site engagement in Auckland. This role is accountable for crafting, applying, and overseeing compliance policies and procedures that adhere to legal, regulatory, and industry-specific standards within the security sector. Routine responsibilities include internal audits, evaluating incident reports, managing licensing and certification processes, and ensuring company protocol adherence throughout service divisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform internal compliance audits and review security incident documentation.
• Manage security licensing and certification processes.
• Collaborate with operations and management teams to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
• Recommend and implement corrective measures to address compliance issues.
• Provide training and guidance regarding regulatory requirements for staff.
• Prepare and maintain compliance-related reports and documentation for executives and regulatory authorities.
• Support ongoing enhancement of security and management practices.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Comprehensive understanding of compliance, regulatory frameworks, and risk management within the security services domain.
• Experience in policy drafting, internal auditing, and process optimization in regulated industries.
• Strong acumen in report preparation, documentation, and maintaining precise compliance records.
• Effective communication skills, capable of engaging with varied stakeholders and delivering compliance training.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment, address sensitive issues confidentially, and resolve problems efficiently.
• Preferably has prior experience within the security sector or allied fields.
• Holds a bachelor's degree in disciplines such as law, compliance, business, criminology, or possesses equivalent practical knowledge.
• Knowledge of New Zealand security licensing requirements and health and safety legislation is considered beneficial.
