Position Overview
This role is offered by a partner company based in Germany seeking a Compliance Engineer who will operate in a fully remote capacity. The key responsibility is to bridge regulatory expertise with technical processes, aiding compliance and licensing efforts in an evolving digital platform environment. The engineer will convert complex legal requirements into actionable insights, client-ready documents, and scalable procedures, ensuring AI-assisted compliance outputs maintain accuracy and quality.
Primary Duties
- Examine regulatory frameworks, licensing prerequisites, and compliance standards across various regions.
- Assist in regulatory readiness and licensing processes, beginning from scoping through gap assessment, evidence gathering, policy evaluation, application drafting, and remediation monitoring.
- Conduct initial reviews of AI-produced compliance materials to verify regulatory correctness, traceability of sources, corroborating evidence, and suitability for client use.
- Interpret intricate regulatory demands into organized compliance assessments, reports, and presentations for clients.
- Create compliance guidance, checklists for evidence, regulatory mappings, submission documents, and materials supporting licensing.
- Work with engineering teams to develop reusable compliance templates, review frameworks, structured workflows, test cases, and regulatory knowledge bases.
- Refer high-risk regulatory interpretations or legal queries to senior compliance professionals or legal counsel where necessary.
- Provide practical compliance solutions to cross-disciplinary teams while upholding stringent quality and accuracy benchmarks.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years' experience in compliance, regulatory consulting, fintech, digital assets, financial services, compliance audits, legal practice, or closely related sectors.
- Direct involvement with a minimum of one licensing application, regulatory registration, or comprehensive regulatory readiness initiative.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory analysis, licensing paperwork, evidence validation, and compliance frameworks.
- Skill in generating clear documentation, regulatory correlations, reports, presentations, and client deliverables.
- Strong communication abilities, adeptness in stakeholder interaction, and effective teamwork across functions.
- Robust organizational abilities to juggle multiple priorities delivering high-standard outcomes amid changing conditions.
- Professional proficiency in English, with Chinese language skills viewed as beneficial but not essential.
- Preferred familiarity with digital asset regulatory environments, virtual asset service provider licensing, or analogous frameworks.
- Basic understanding of large language models, AI-related risks such as hallucinations, importance of source traceability, and human-in-the-loop validation methods.
- Eligibility to work remotely from locations outside the United States is required.
