Compliance Coordinator

Role Overview

Join Yeo Valley Organic as a Compliance Coordinator in the Supply Chain Compliance Team, based at our Isleport site in Highbridge, Somerset. This position involves upholding exceptional food safety, quality, hygiene, and environmental compliance standards throughout our logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute scheduled traceability tests to confirm product tracking from raw materials to customer delivery.
• Conduct transit and packaging trials to ensure consistent product quality during logistics.
• Perform ad-hoc quality and standards inspections across supply chain activities.
• Identify and report any non-conformances to relevant production sites promptly.
• Carry out internal audits and inspections to verify adherence to food safety, quality, and environmental protocols.
• Audit third-party storage providers and assist in performance assessments of external hauliers.
• Monitor compliance with BRC Storage & Distribution Standards, pest management, allergen and glass control, health & safety measures such as racking inspections and noise surveys, hygiene, housekeeping, and quality benchmarks as well as prerequisite programs and procedures.
• Support improvement initiatives across functions aimed at enhancing compliance and operational effectiveness.
• Assist teams in root cause analysis to investigate and resolve non-conformances effectively.
• Spot process upgrade opportunities and champion best practices throughout the business.
• Provide technical and compliance assistance company-wide, including support during customer audits at Yeo Valley and third-party sites.
• Collaborate with the Central Technical team on reviewing procedures and implementing new standards.
• Participate in HACCP reviews and aid in risk assessment activities.
• Travel to other Yeo Valley locations as necessary.
• Serve as the main liaison with pest control providers, managing pest sightings, proofing, and ensuring timely corrective actions.
• Perform routine pest management audits to maintain control effectiveness.
• Ensure internal calibration of monitoring equipment according to planned schedules to maintain compliance.

Candidate Requirements

• Strong administrative and analytical capabilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills adaptable to all organizational levels.
• Highly organized with the ability to work independently and self-motivate.
• Capacity to thrive in a busy and fast-moving environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Valid full UK driving license.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

• Experience with Dynamics software.
• Background in technical roles or auditing functions.
• Certifications such as Internal Auditing and HACCP Level 3.
• SEMA Rack Inspection Training is advantageous.
