Commercial Manager

Position Overview

Seaworks Company is looking for an accomplished Commercial Manager to spearhead its Commercial, Contracts, Procurement, Logistics, and Tendering activities in Doha, Qatar. This full-time role demands a seasoned professional capable of driving commercial achievements, mitigating contractual risks, managing procurement and supply chain logistics, and facilitating business expansion through proficient tender handling.

Primary Responsibilities

• Take charge of commercial and contractual oversight across multiple projects.
• Manage procurement functions along with supply chain and logistics operations efficiently.
• Draft, assess, and negotiate contracts, claims, and contract variations.
• Lead the preparation of tenders, submission of bids, and evaluation of commercial proposals.
• Supervise project budgets, enforce cost control measures, and track commercial performance.
• Establish and cultivate supplier relations, and negotiate commercial agreements with stakeholders.
• Guide and mentor cross-disciplinary teams ensuring adherence to company protocols and industry regulations.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Law, or related disciplines.
• Possesses at least 10 years of experience in commercial management roles.
• Has spent a minimum of 5 years in managerial positions.
• Demonstrates robust expertise in commercial management, contracts, procurement, tendering, and controlling project costs.
• Experience in sectors such as Marine Construction, Offshore, Dredging, EPC, Oil & Gas, or Heavy Civil Infrastructure projects is strongly favored.
• Advanced qualifications like an MBA and professional designations such as MRICS, MCIPS, PMP, or CCM are considered advantageous.
