About Crown Agents Bank

Crown Agents Bank is a fast-expanding, UK-regulated bank that links emerging and frontier markets with global financial flows through FX and payments technology. Its purpose is to make cross-border movement of money simpler so funds reach the people and organisations that need them sooner.

With more than two centuries of experience building reliable relationships in hard-to-reach markets, the bank combines that legacy with modern digital capabilities. It serves fintechs, corporates, governments, development organisations, and banks with foreign exchange and international payment solutions.

Role purpose

Reporting to the Onboarding Manager, the Client Manager will ensure clients experience a smooth, efficient, and transparent onboarding journey. The role covers the coordination, monitoring, and reporting of every part of onboarding, including KYC, regulatory checks, product setup, and operational readiness.

The position also supports the setup of platforms and systems so clients can complete their first trades, while ensuring back-office arrangements are in place for the timely execution of trades and payments where needed.

A further responsibility is collecting information from internal and external stakeholders to support management information reporting and case tracking. The role also plays an important part in client lifecycle management by supporting internal client forums and external client engagement during new client onboarding.

Onboarding journey management

  • Monitor each client’s progress across the onboarding process and keep key stakeholders informed with timely updates.
  • Own the full onboarding workflow, including coordination of KYC tasks and delivery of a high standard of client service.
  • Coordinate the setup of required FX and payments platforms, along with SWIFT integration, accounts, wallets, and tariff structures.
  • Collect, organise, and distribute the information needed to establish the trading relationship.

Stakeholder engagement and communication

  • Share regular progress updates so expectations remain clear and well managed.
  • Work with relevant teams and stakeholders to complete tasks before the first trade is executed.
  • Partner across functions to drive onboarding actions forward, secure approvals, and raise or resolve issues when necessary.
  • Support the transfer of the client into the Client Services / BAU team.

Data management and reporting

  • Maintain accurate data and documentation to support MI reporting and internal business needs.
  • Provide regular updates on your portfolio of cases and attend meetings with the business and other partners as required.

Risk and control

  • Spot possible control weaknesses connected to onboarding and KYC, escalate them appropriately, and help drive resolution.

Technical capability

  • Bring understanding of foreign exchange and payments processes, particularly those used within operations to enable client product access.
  • Understand the platforms and channels needed to support client requirements.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in banking is required.
  • Previous, demonstrable experience in financial services or banking is needed, ideally in a client-facing onboarding position.
  • CDD experience would be beneficial.
  • Experience with FX and payments would also be an advantage.

Additional information

  • This role follows a hybrid working arrangement.
  • Personal pension contribution plan: employee contributions start at 2% and employer contributions at 7%. The employer will match contributions in 1% steps up to a maximum of 5% employee contribution and 10% employer contribution.
  • Life assurance cover equal to 4 times annual salary.
  • Group income protection.
  • Private medical insurance may include partner and/or children at company cost, with optical, dental, and audiology cover included.
  • Discretionary bonus.
  • Competitive annual leave entitlement.
