Position Overview
Steel & Tube Holdings Ltd is hiring a Class 5 Driver / Logistics Coordinator for the afternoon shift based at 68 Stonedon Drive, East Tamaki, Auckland. This permanent full-time role operates from 4:00 PM to approximately 12:30 AM, focusing on the smooth execution of warehouse and dispatch activities in a busy distribution environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to load trucks efficiently using forklifts and overhead gantry cranes.
- Manage vehicle movement through loading bays safely and organized.
- Ensure all cargo loads satisfy NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) compliance standards for security and safety.
- Prepare trucks for next-day departures by verifying loads and arranging documentation.
- Obtain daily run instructions, confirm loads are complete (“IN FULL”) and coordinate dispatch activities accordingly.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance support.
- Assist in delivery operations as needed.
- Maintain equipment, handle paperwork, checklists, and logbooks to uphold operational accuracy.
Candidate Profile
- Holds a full Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Possession of an endorsed counterbalance forklift license (2.5T–5T) is beneficial.
- Experience in warehouse, transport, or loading operations preferred.
- Certification in gantry crane or Hiab operation is highly desirable.
- Physically capable of performing manual tasks and vigilant in upholding safety policies.
- Strong communication skills accompanied by a positive, adaptable teamwork mindset.
