About the Role and Employer
This is a permanent full-time Chef position located in Adelaide, South Australia, with Cater Care, a fully Australian-owned company. Cater Care has been operating for over twenty-two years and specializes in contract catering, accommodation, and facility management services catering to diverse sectors including mining, healthcare, educational institutions, and industrial canteens. Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and present meals including breakfast, crib, dinner, desserts, and functions ensuring high-quality standards.
- Manage dietary requirements such as allergies and special requests carefully and accurately.
- Comply with the Food Safety Program and maintain kitchen hygiene and cleanliness of equipment and utensils.
- Assist in stock ordering, rotation, and stocktaking to maintain adequate inventory levels.
- Adhere to legislated food hygiene and general safety regulations consistently.
- Provide prompt and friendly service supporting the broader team where necessary.
- Promote and adhere to the company's strong safety culture per Cater Care's Safety Commitments.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong commitment to delivering genuine and friendly customer service.
- Demonstrate a motivated, enthusiastic, and positive attitude with a 'can-do' approach.
- Capability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced and time-sensitive setting, sometimes over extended periods.

- Strong focus on workplace safety.
- Possession of a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification. Experience in high-volume bulk cookery is advantageous but not mandatory.
