Descripción del trabajo

Overview

TexasNexus Inc. is seeking a highly capable CEO or COO to lead a pioneering and challenging energy project based in the Permian Basin, Texas. The initiative combines produced water management, advanced nuclear technologies (Small Modular Reactors), ERCOT power, desalination, AI compute infrastructure, and critical mineral recovery. This role demands a dynamic leader ready for intense execution amid significant regulatory, technical, and market uncertainties.

Company Background

TexasNexus is creating the globe's first observable commercial reference architecture at the confluence of several advanced energy and environmental technologies. The company secures land, conducts feasibility and economic analyses, obtains non-dilutive grants, and partners strategically to de-risk projects before transferring them to strategic buyers or scaling partners.

Position Summary

As CEO of the Project LLC, reporting to the Chairman and Board, you will be charged with end-to-end leadership of this high-stakes venture aimed at advancing energy transition. Responsibilities include strategy translation into results, compliance with grants, regulatory navigation, team building, risk and capital management, and positioning for exit or scaling. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring broad expertise and relentless focus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct overall strategic execution, budgeting, and milestone achievement for the integrated produced water, SMR nuclear, power, desalination, and AI infrastructure project.
  • Ensure compliance with TANEO grant requirements, manage reimbursement processes, and drive project acceleration contingent on grant award.
  • Manage regulatory approvals and permitting across multiple agencies (NRC, Texas RRC, ERCOT, environmental bodies) and oversee site developments with technical advisory support.
  • Recruit, lead, and develop a high-performing, small core team; oversee business development, land acquisition, and establish critical partnerships including potential off-takers and hyperscalers.
  • Prepare the project for a successful transfer, sale, or scaling by maintaining data room readiness, conducting buyer due diligence, and leading economic modeling efforts.
  • Oversee risk management, capital allocation, and maintain effective communications with the Board and partners.
  • Uphold TexasNexus values emphasizing speed, integrity, first-principles reasoning, and meticulous preparation.

Candidate Profile

  • Demonstrated operational leadership or CEO/GM experience in energy project development, infrastructure, nuclear or supply chain sectors, water midstream, or AI and power-adjacent industries.
  • Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and scale projects from inception to critical inflection points with limited resources.
  • Strong competency in finance, legal compliance, government relations, including grant management and permitting, preferably with Permian or Texas market experience.
  • High-autonomy, decisive leadership style adept at managing multiple roles without extensive organizational support.
  • Alignment with the mission to deliver pragmatic, impactful energy transition solutions addressing Permian Basin challenges related to water, power, and critical minerals.
  • Strong affinity toward AI-driven methodologies and innovation.

Work Environment & Expectations

This position demands intense dedication, resilience, and ownership. Those expecting predictable hours or heavy corporate infrastructure support should reconsider, as the role emphasizes a fast-paced, founder-like intensity.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Meaningful equity stake in the Project LLC tied to successful exit or transfer outcomes.
  • Grant-supported funding runway pending TANEO award, with a credible advisory board and strategic narratives in place.
  • Opportunity to influence Texas energy innovation and AI infrastructure evolution.
  • Autonomy in leadership with support from the Chairman, avoiding micromanagement.
  • Potential to transition into scaled roles within the project or broader TexasNexus initiatives.

Application Instructions

Candidates should submit their resume along with a brief explanation of why the position resonates and relevant project experience. Contact is via email directly. Only serious and qualified applicants should apply, as the company is moving quickly.
