About the Position
We are seeking a Cashier to join our team at Victoria, BC (1778 Island Hwy, V9B 1H8). This position offers both permanent full-time and part-time opportunities, with shifts available during days, evenings, and weekends, up to 40 hours per week. The role requires proficiency in English.
Compensation and Benefits
Starting wages begin at $18.75 per hour for new hires, with incremental raises as skills develop: Advanced at $19/hour, Cross-Trained at $19.25/hour, Shift Leader at $19.50/hour. We provide an optional employee-contributed medical and dental benefits package covering pharmaceuticals, hospital care, paramedical services, medical equipment, travel coverage, vision care, basic and optional life insurance. Additionally, an optional group RRSP plan is offered.
Role Summary
As a Cashier, you will be the welcoming face for guests, handling order taking, payment processing, and providing friendly customer service to ensure a positive, efficient dining experience. This role suits individuals who enjoy engaging with people, staying active, and require flexible scheduling to accommodate schooling, sports, or other commitments.

Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and manage orders and payments efficiently using POS systems
- Answer menu-related queries and ensure order accuracy delivered with excellent customer service
- Support colleagues in preparing and serving food and beverages, maintaining smooth operation during busy periods
- Restock supplies and ensure workstations and dining areas are clean, organized, and guest-ready
- Maintain cleanliness in the dining room, restrooms, and exterior areas to promote a positive guest environment
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Collaborate as part of a team fostering a supportive and positive workplace culture
- Take initiative to assist wherever necessary to ensure shift efficiency
