Program Overview

TOP Opportunities, run by Goddard Riverside Community Center, offers vocational training and job placement to underemployed adults. The program employs the evidence-based Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model to support adults facing severe mental illness alongside employment barriers such as homelessness, substance use, learning disabilities, and legal challenges.

Position Summary

As a Career Counselor, you will be primarily responsible for establishing and managing employer accounts across various industries to create job opportunities for program participants. Your role includes providing career exploration, focused job coaching, and ongoing support to prepare participants for success in their selected career paths. Working collaboratively in a team, you will implement IPS strategies to facilitate job placements and provide retention assistance, aiming to develop sustainable career paths and enhance participant independence and economic self-sufficiency.

Work Schedule and Compensation

This full-time position operates Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The salary range is $55,000 to $60,000 per year, with the exact offer dependent on the candidate's relevant experience and qualifications.
