About the Role
OCCD Private Limited is looking for a diligent and goal-driven Career Counsellor to assist both students and professionals in making informed decisions regarding their career paths. The position supports candidates in identifying suitable courses, certifications, colleges, and career options while ensuring a smooth counseling and admission process.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in personalized one-on-one counselling sessions with students and job seekers to assess their educational backgrounds and career goals.
- Provide tailored recommendations on appropriate courses, certifications, college options, and career opportunities.
- Assist candidates throughout the admission and enrollment procedures.
- Maintain ongoing communication and follow-up with prospective students to meet monthly counselling and admission targets.
- Keep thorough records using CRM systems or Excel sheets.
- Collaborate with internal teams to facilitate the admission process effectively.
- Organize and conduct career guidance sessions, webinars, or seminars as needed.
- Stay informed about the latest industry trends, educational programs, and career opportunities to provide up-to-date advice.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in any field is mandatory.
- At least one year of relevant experience in career or academic counselling, student admissions, EdTech, or related domains.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities coupled with excellent interpersonal and counselling skills.
- Capacity to connect well with students and their parents, including negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Proficiency in basic MS Office applications and CRM tools.
- Demonstrated ability to perform in a target-based work setting.
