Role Purpose

As a Buyer within Saipem’s Supply Chain Department in Procurement, you will facilitate purchasing of goods, services, and subcontracts while ensuring compliance with cost, time, and quality criteria aligned with company policies and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain effective communication and collaboration with team members, clients, and suppliers.
• Issue Requests for Quotation (RFQ) to vendors based on purchasing requirements.
• Assist vendors in preparing confidential technical and commercial proposals.
• Lead the negotiation process for commercial and economic terms.
• Prepare purchase orders or subcontracts following general and project-specific purchase conditions, addressing any deviations.
• Manage and archive contractual documentation prior to centralized filing.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Economics.
• Saudi National with 2 to 3 years of experience as a Buyer in oil and gas or EPC contracting sectors.
• Proficiency in English and Arabic languages.
• Technical knowledge including Microsoft Excel and Office; familiarity with SAP is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes and incoterms.

Additional Information

The position is based in Dhahran, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with some travel expected across the Middle East and Europe.
