About Gratia Health

Gratia Health is dedicated to empowering healthcare workers, especially nurses, with technology that truly supports them. Nurses and frontline caregivers often bear significant responsibilities but receive limited communication, recognition, and support to maintain exceptional patient care. Gratia’s platform bridges this gap by reinforcing behaviors that enhance workforce stability, clinical excellence, patient experience, and company culture through recognition, interactive learning, targeted communications, and team engagement.

As a growing healthcare technology company collaborating with top hospitals nationwide, Gratia is committed to shaping the future of healthcare with meaningful innovations alongside experienced founders.

Position Overview

The Business Development Representative position goes beyond typical sales roles. As an early member of the commercial team, you will help hospitals discover how Gratia’s platform effectively engages, recognizes, supports, and retains nurses. You will collaborate with leadership to refine strategies, influence messaging, and build connections with healthcare executives across the U.S. This role is ideal for those energized by entrepreneurship, eager to engage senior leaders, and seeking impactful career growth in a fast-growing company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on hospitals, health systems, and healthcare leaders aligned with Gratia’s markets.
  • Identify decision-makers and influencers in nursing, HR, workforce strategy, patient experience, clinical education, quality, and operations.
  • Engage in persistent outbound prospecting through calls, emails, LinkedIn, and other channels.
  • Communicate Gratia’s value proposition tailored to varied executive audiences.
  • Generate qualified introductory meetings for sales and leadership teams.
  • Maintain follow-up and nurture relationships with prospects over time.
  • Customize outreach based on organizational priorities, leadership changes, workforce initiatives, and industry trends.
  • Support email sequences, calling campaigns, event outreach, and account-based sales initiatives using HubSpot and related tools.
  • Keep accurate records of contacts, activities, meeting notes, deal stages, and next steps in HubSpot.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and leadership to optimize messaging and engagement approaches.
  • Help prepare for conferences, including attendee outreach and post-event follow-up.
  • Track performance metrics including activity, meetings, opportunities, and conversion rates.
  • Provide market feedback, prospect insights, and common queries to the broader team.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is adept at initiating conversations and building relationships. They proactively identify prospects and create opportunities rather than waiting for inbound leads. Motivated by supporting nurses and caregivers, they desire to have a tangible impact within a growing company.

  • 2 to 3 years experience in business development, sales development, inside sales, or outbound sales.
  • Background in healthcare, health technology, or selling to hospitals and health systems.
  • Comfortable making outbound calls and starting sales conversations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for crafting personalized business emails.
  • Excellent research skills to identify relevant organizations, decision-makers, and priorities.
  • Organized, persistent, coachable in managing multiple prospects and follow-ups.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a small, high-performing team.
  • Experience with CRM and sales tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, including contact management and reporting.
  • Curious and adaptable mindset to test messaging, learn new approaches, and use data for continuous improvement.
  • Professional and confident when communicating with senior healthcare executives.
  • Genuine interest in healthcare workforce strategy, employee engagement, clinical excellence, and patient experience.

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)

  • Experience selling to CNOs, CHROs, COOs or executives in hospitals and health systems.
  • Knowledge of nursing workforce strategy, retention, recognition, clinical education, or quality improvement.
  • Existing contacts within healthcare organizations.
  • Experience supporting conferences, trade shows, webinars, or sales campaigns.
  • Familiarity with prospecting platforms such as HubSpot Sequences, ZoomInfo, or similar.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary range: $50,000 to $60,000 annually.
  • Targeted annual incentives between $15,000 and $25,000.
  • Expected total earnings on-target: $65,000 to $85,000 per year.

Gratia provides a comprehensive benefits package designed to promote employee health, financial stability, and long-term growth participation. Benefits include health and dental insurance, paid leave, 401(k) retirement plans with company matching, and equity ownership.

Additional details regarding eligibility and contributions will be shared during interviews and offers.
