NORIT is the global leader in activated carbon products, specializing in innovative water treatment solutions. We invite you to join our international team as a Business Development Manager focusing on the water treatment market, contributing to business growth and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the sales pipeline targeting water treatment markets including portable, municipal, and industrial wastewater segments, aiming to achieve revenue, volume, and margin targets from existing and new customers.
- Develop comprehensive volume and revenue forecasts alongside strategic account plans that support new business generation and customer retention, while formulating persuasive customer value propositions and sales tactics.
- Create shared comprehension of distinctive value offerings to customers and enhance overall portfolio profitability, driving current and future corporate success.
- Coordinate with R&D and Application Support to produce compelling marketing materials that validate product performance compared to competitors; spearhead product enhancement initiatives with Product Management to reinforce product competitiveness and market relevance.
- Negotiate complex sales deals and effectively communicate with customers to teach them about the value and benefits of product offerings.
- Identify emerging market opportunities and gather competitive intelligence to inform sales strategies.
- Support the management of external sales channels including engineering companies, distributors, developers, system providers, and service businesses.
- Maintain rigorous use of Salesforce.com and other data tools to keep forecasts and opportunity pipelines accurate and updated.
Requirements
- In-depth technical expertise in municipal and industrial water treatment processes, encompassing drinking water, wastewater, and adsorption technologies.
- Minimum five years of professional experience in the water treatment industry.
- Academic credentials in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Science or a closely related field.
- Proven business insight with the capacity to pinpoint opportunities, craft customer-centric solutions, and sustain profitable development.
- Ability to understand and articulate the applications of activated carbon in water treatment contexts.
- Experienced in market research, opportunity assessment, business strategy development, and management of strategic accounts within environmental or industrial markets.
- Skilled networker who establishes enduring relationships at various organizational layers.
- Readiness and capability for frequent travel across Europe to client locations, engineering firms, industry events, and key markets.
- Project management skills are highly valued.
- Excellent communication skills that transform technical knowledge into customer-focused commercial benefits.
