About the Role
Join a leading Fortune Global 500 company, UPS, as a Business Development Manager for Marken in Singapore. This position is integral to expanding Marken's footprint in the logistics sector, particularly across clinical supply and pharmaceutical markets. You will be front and center in nurturing client relationships, spearheading sales growth, and collaborating with multiple departments to ensure outstanding client service and tailored solutions.
Main Responsibilities
- Drive revenue growth by meeting or surpassing sales targets for assigned territories or accounts.
- Expand existing business relationships and secure new clientele as aligned with management's objectives.
- Interact regularly with clients and provide technical expertise to establish long-standing relationships.
- Lead, support, and coordinate client-specific project teams to guarantee exceptional customer experiences.
- Innovate and deliver client-focused business solutions and services.
- Process and manage quotation and special client requests efficiently.
- Utilize internal tools to monitor and communicate job outcomes and sales metrics for all relevant accounts.
- Identify client challenges and offer actionable solutions to enhance retention and satisfaction.
- Report client pipeline status and forecast to senior leadership.
- Conduct in-depth market and industry analyses for existing and prospective clients.
- Support operational teams in executing client projects from inception to completion.
- Provide marketing and strategic feedback on competition and industry trends to relevant stakeholders.
- Help facilitate client audits, site visits, and resolve complaints in coordination with Quality Assurance teams.
- Attend relevant industry events, including trade shows and workshops, to strengthen client engagement.
- Organize client meetings, visits, and networking events as part of ongoing relationship building initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics & Supply Chain, or closely related fields.
- Minimum of 3 years’ direct sales experience in logistics, clinical supply, or pharmaceutical industries.
- Strong commercial insight with understanding of healthcare sales, pricing, and operations.
- Excellent abilities in communication, negotiation, and presenting to diverse stakeholders.
- Highly skilled in Microsoft Office and proficient in CRM software for sales tracking and reporting.
- Proven analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills in a high-pressure setting.
- Self-driven, proactive, and results-oriented, consistently achieving sales targets and nurturing lasting business partnerships.
