Job Overview
Frontier Scientific Solutions is seeking an energetic and proactive Business Development Associate based in Shannon, County Clare. This full-time, permanent position initially requires office presence, with potential for hybrid working. The role aims to support the expansion of Frontier's commercial footprint within the pharmaceutical and life sciences logistics sector by generating promising new business opportunities and building strong industry relationships.
Main Duties
- Identify, engage, and qualify new business prospects through LinkedIn, targeted outreach, networking, referrals, and thorough market research.
- Prioritize pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and healthcare companies aligned with Frontier's growth strategy.
- Conduct detailed analysis of prospective customers’ supply chain operations, manufacturing locations, and logistics requirements.
- Design and execute targeted outreach campaigns to organize introductory meetings for the Commercial team.
- Conduct outbound calls and respond to inbound commercial inquiries, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified leads and continuously seek emerging market opportunities.
- Stay informed on industry trends, manufacturing expansions, investments, and competitor activities to support commercial strategy.
- Assist in researching and preparing materials for customer engagements and strategic initiatives.
- Foster professional relationships with clients, industry partners, and internal teams.
- Keep precise CRM records and support opportunity tracking and sales pipeline reporting.
- Support the sales process, from onboarding through closure, and provide administrative assistance as necessary.
- Participate in conferences, industry gatherings, and customer visits to enhance networking and brand presence.
- Contribute to marketing efforts, including social media activity and brand development on LinkedIn.
Qualifications and Skills
- 1-2 years of experience in business development, sales, marketing, or commercial support, preferably in pharmaceutical, life sciences, or logistics domains.
- Keen interest in developing business growth and generating sales leads.
- Excellent communication capabilities and relationship management skills.
- Strong commercial awareness for identifying potential business avenues.
- Highly organized with solid research and analytical abilities.
- Proficient in using LinkedIn and digital tools for prospecting.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Self-driven, resilient, and eager to learn.
- Desirable qualifications include a degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related fields.
- Previous exposure to pharmaceutical logistics, healthcare, or supply chain operations is advantageous.
- Familiarity with HubSpot or equivalent CRM platforms is a plus.
