Overview
The Business Data Analyst I position offers a national salary range between 70,000 and 115,000 USD, with state-specific ranges for California (70,304 to 115,000 USD) and Washington (80,169 to 115,000 USD). Employed by DHL Supply Chain, this role is located onsite in Justin, TX, within a dynamic warehouse environment focused on supply chain operations. Role Purpose
This role involves transforming operational data into valuable insights to identify improvement opportunities, boost performance, and lower costs. The Business Data Analyst I works closely with site leadership and cross-functional teams to develop reports, standardize analytical tools, and promote data-informed decision making, playing a pivotal role in operations and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain Power BI reports that support both operational and strategic decision-making processes.
- Handle full-cycle Power BI development, including creating data visualizations and designing backend data models.
- Utilize SQL, DAX, and statistical techniques to cleanse, model, and analyze data to identify trends and guide improvements.
- Partner with site and sector leadership teams to discover efficiencies and opportunities for cost savings.
- Support various functional departments such as HR and Finance by delivering tailored analytical solutions aligned with evolving business requirements.
- Communicate complex data findings through clear, actionable presentations and reports aimed at internal stakeholders and customers.
- Extract and integrate data from multiple operational platforms including Warehouse Management Systems and Timekeeping systems.
- Independently oversee analytics projects from conception through to final delivery.
- Act as the primary resource and support contact for Power BI related inquiries.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a comparable field, or alternatively, 4 years of equivalent professional experience.
- A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or related areas.
- Proficient in SQL or scripting languages such as Python or R for querying, cleaning, and transforming datasets.
- Strong capabilities in Power BI, specifically in creating dashboards and reports from the ground up.
- Experience writing DAX formulas to automate and enhance Power BI reports.
- Preferred knowledge of statistical principles and data modeling methods.
- Excellent skills in communication and presentation, able to distill data into insightful, actionable messages.
- Demonstrated independence in managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Mandated ability to work fully onsite at the warehouse location.
