Business Analyst

Role Overview

Marathon TS is searching for a skilled Business Analyst to offer crucial analytical support for a government client managing essential policy initiatives. This professional will be pivotal in creating and deploying digital tools and visual analytics that present vital metrics and trends in real time, aligning with leadership priorities and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, construct, and implement dynamic dashboards and analytical tools—such as those using Power BI—to clearly communicate metrics, statistics, and trends to leadership instantly.
• Develop and maintain tracking tools that oversee policy progress, key performance indicators, milestones, risks, and overall status.
• Analyze extensive and complex datasets from diverse sources to extract meaningful patterns and actionable insights.
• Convert technical data insights into straightforward recommendations to aid data-informed policy decision-making.
• Create and automate data pipelines, queries, and data models to back reporting and dashboard needs while ensuring data precision and consistency.
• Troubleshoot data source issues, refresh delays, and analytical tool performance challenges as they emerge.
• Prepare routine and customized reports, briefings, and visual representations that support leadership goals and reporting demands.
• Collaborate with communications and business transformation units to ensure alignment of data tools with overarching messaging and strategic narratives.
• Partner with program management, consulting teams, government stakeholders, and senior officials to comprehend data requirements and priorities, participating actively in requirements gathering to ensure tools meet user needs.

Candidate Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen holding an active CBP Clearance.
• Possess a bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Have a minimum of three years of proven experience in data analysis, business intelligence, and data visualization.
• Demonstrated capability building and rolling out dashboards and analytical tools professionally.
• Proficiency with Power BI or equivalent data visualization software.
• Skilled in data querying using SQL and programming languages including Python and R.
• Comprehensive technical knowledge covering all phases of analytics: data gathering, cleansing, modeling, visualization, and deployment.
• Experience creating tracking or performance dashboards linked to programs or policy execution.
• Strong written and verbal communication talents.
