Role Overview

The Brand Manager's key responsibility is to foster sustainable growth for one or more Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) brands at Sonic dealerships. This involves developing and implementing superior marketing strategies aimed at expanding new and used vehicle sales, service market share, brand equity, and loyalty. The role entails close collaboration with senior OEM marketing executives and internal stakeholders, analyzing competitive and consumer insights to inform initiatives, managing brand marketing direction, and driving all OEM Brand targets to market leadership.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintain and strengthen high-level relationships with OEM marketing leaders (CMOs, VPs), aligning OEM and dealership marketing efforts including Tier 1-3 campaigns and co-op programs.
  • Identify local market opportunities and craft targeted marketing plans to boost market share across stores, utilizing store performance, benchmark data, and competitor analysis.
  • Lead used vehicle marketing efforts to help meet company-wide goals of 100 pre-owned sales per month, focusing on inventory exposure and customer engagement.
  • Develop and execute fixed operations marketing plans that increase service lane traffic and customer retention leveraging customer data and service performance metrics.
  • Oversee brand identity and customer experience consistency across stores, aligning messaging, store culture, and reputation to Sonic and OEM brand values.
  • Guide brand compliance, messaging, and community involvement while managing brand marketing budgets and co-op fund utilization effectively.
  • Monitor and ensure dealership websites remain accurate, competitive, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Stay informed on consumer behavior, market trends, and competitor activity to adapt brand and marketing strategies accordingly.
  • Support local events, sponsorships, and partnerships that boost brand and store presence in the community.

Qualifications
