Role overview

The Brand Executive will support Brand Organic’s brand team in shaping and delivering go-to-market and growth plans across the natural, organic, and independent retail sectors. Reporting into the Head of Brands and working alongside the Head of Sales, this position combines client relationship support, brand-building work, and day-to-day marketing coordination to help deliver strong results for a varied client portfolio.

Brand Organic is a compact, fast-expanding business that operates entirely remotely. The team works with a flexible four-day week and places a high level of trust and independence in its people. This role suits someone who is self-driven, well organised, and comfortable managing their own workload. For the right person, there is a clear opportunity to progress quickly to Brand Manager level.

This is an 18-month fixed-term contract, with the possibility of becoming permanent for a strong performer.

The salary for this position is £27,500 to £35,000, depending on experience.

Brand development

  • Build and deliver go-to-market and market expansion plans for natural, organic, and independent retail channels, including B2B promotional schedules and campaign activity.
  • Explore and evaluate new routes to market for client products, then create persuasive trade presentations tailored to the UK market.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with the marketing teams of retailers and wholesalers operating in the natural and independent space.
  • Represent the company and its client brands at UK trade exhibitions when required.
  • Work with the Head of Brands and Head of Sales on copywriting and ad briefing tasks.
  • Partner with the Natural Brands team to support client brand promotion while protecting the magazine’s editorial integrity.
  • Contribute to the planning and creation of engaging social content that supports brand objectives.

Client management

  • Act as a main contact for brand clients, including those based overseas, and build trusted working relationships by understanding their goals and expectations.
  • Prepare monthly sales reports and performance summaries for clients, along with practical recommendations and follow-up discussions on next steps.
  • Track sales results and activations, escalating risks and opportunities to both clients and internal colleagues in a timely way.
  • Spot and present fresh commercial opportunities to clients as they emerge.

Administration and reporting

  • Oversee marketing budgets and measure return on investment across activity.
  • Keep planners, promotional calendars, and shared working documents accurate and current.
  • Complete new line forms and support account setup procedures.
  • Coordinate award submissions when needed.
  • Ensure product master data is kept up to date, including all necessary SKU details such as specifications and images.
  • Plan, brief, and submit trade advertisements and promotions according to agreed timelines.
  • Manage the correct allocation and delivery of Natural Brands marketing activity in line with client packages.
  • Provide regular updates to the Head of Brands and Directors on brand performance, progress toward goals, and longer-term strategic thinking for portfolio brands.

Skills and experience

Experience in a marketing, brand, or account management role is expected, ideally gained in food, drink, or FMCG. The ideal candidate will bring strong written and verbal communication skills, commercial awareness, confidence working with sales data, and advanced spreadsheet ability. Strong organisation, calm multitasking, a proactive attitude, ownership of outcomes, and the confidence to present ideas and trade decks are also important. Useful additional experience includes familiarity with natural, organic, or independent retail, Canva or similar design tools, digital marketing, PR and media relations, and regular reading of industry press and trade publications such as The Grocer and Natural Products News.

Performance measures

Success in this role will be assessed regularly with the Head of Brands using measures such as the speed and accuracy of monthly reporting, the quality and commercial value of trade decks and marketing materials, proactive identification of growth ideas, disciplined budget management and ROI reporting, client satisfaction, contribution to revenue targets, and evidence of forward planning over a 4 to 6 month horizon.
